What is PokeSwift?+

PokeSwift is a point-of-sale app built for Pokémon card dealers at trade shows and local events. It lets you buy and trade in cards using live camera OCR, AI-powered card identification, real-time market pricing, and eBay comparables — all from your iPad or Mac.

How do I scan a card?+

Point your camera at any Pokémon card and PokeSwift will automatically identify it using AI. Once a card is detected, it's added to your queue where you can review the match, adjust the price, and add it to the cart.

If scanning isn't working well, make sure the card is flat, well-lit, and the card number or set symbol is visible to the camera.

What is the difference between Selling mode and Trade-In mode?+
  • Selling mode is used when selling cards or products outright to a customer.
  • Trade-In mode is used when a customer is trading cards or products for store credit.

You can switch between modes using the toggle provided in the app.

How does AI card identification work?+

When a card is captured, PokeSwift sends the image to an AI model that reads the card name, set, card number, condition, and any grading information. It then looks up live market data and comparables to suggest a fair price.

The AI runs a multi-step tool loop — it can search for active listings and recent sales before returning a final price recommendation.

It can sometimes get things wrong if the image provided is blurry and can not be read.

You can also have a follow up conversation with the AI to help guide to a better comp.

How are prices determined?+

Prices are pulled from multiple sources:

  • TCGplayer market prices (updated regularly from our catalog)
  • eBay active listings and sold comps (fetched live at scan time)
  • Collectr extra price data for niche or high-value cards
  • PriceCharting extra price data for and graded cards

Your configured payout percentage is applied on top of the market price to calculate the offer shown in the cart.

Can I edit a price before adding it to the cart?+

Yes. Every card in the queue shows the AI-suggested price. Tap the price to edit it before confirming. You can also edit prices directly in the cart by tapping the row.

How do I configure my payout percentage?+

Go to Settings and look for the Payout section. You can set separate percentages for Buying mode and Trade-In mode. These percentages are applied to the market price to calculate offers. You can also individually change the percentages per card when it's inside the cart.

What is Comps mode?+

Comps mode opens an embedded browser view with live search results for the currently selected card. Use it to quickly sanity-check a price against what's actually selling on the market before making an offer.

How do I complete a transaction?+

Once all cards are in the cart, tap Checkout. You'll see a summary of all items, the total payout, and options for cash or trade credit. Confirm the transaction to save it.

What devices does PokeSwift support?+

PokeSwift runs on iOS. An iPhone or iPad with a rear camera is recommended for the best scanning experience at a trade show table.

There is also a web client available.

How do I import my inventory?+

PokeSwift supports inventory imports via CSV from Collectr and TCGplayer. In the web app, go to the Inventory section and use the Import button to upload your CSV file.
